Fees

Fees per month

At Scallywags we strive to offer affordable and competitively priced childcare. We close for one week at Christmas (Christmas Eve – 6th January) which we do not charge you. Fees are paid a month in advance and are due the first of every month. Payment includes any allocated sessions from which your child may be absent. Unfortunately, days in lieu cannot be given.

£58.00 per day (£5.39 per hour)

Our daily rate is £58.

You are charged by how many days you are due to attend each month. This does mean your invoice changes depending on how many days there are a month.

Invoices are sent to you each month on the 20th for the following month via your online ParentAdmin account.

Deposit

When you accept a place with us, we will ask you for a deposit of £100 per how many days you wish to reserve. Deposits will not be refunded if the place is not taken up at the agreed time. The deposit will be refunded providing that 4 weeks’ notice has been received of departure. Failure to give us written notice may result in you forfeiting your deposit plus any fees paid.

In addition, we ask for a £50 non-refundable registration fee which covers the cost of your child’s online learning journal and ParentAdmin system.

Government Support

Are you entitled to any additional help with your childcare fees? The government is introducing new ways to help parents with childcare costs. For further information look at our ‘Funding’ page or visit https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/

Childcare Vouchers

If your employer operates a childcare voucher scheme, you can save National Insurance and Income Tax. By registering for your employer's scheme, up to £55 a week can be deducted from your salary and used to provide childcare vouchers for the same amount. This amount, which is deducted from your gross salary, is then exempt from National Insurance and Income Tax.

We accept vouchers from many providers including

•    Accor Services

•    Busy Bees

•    care-4

•    Sodexho

If your employer uses a different provider we will liaise with you to make the necessary arrangements

Late charge for unpaid fees

Invoices are sent out annually as fees are the same each month. Fees are to be paid on the 1st of the month in advance. If fees are not paid by the 7th of the month a daily late fee can be added to your bill. The charges will be: £10.00 for every day AFTER the 7th of the month. Failure to do this can result in termination of your child’s place.

If for any reason you cannot pay your fees, please let a member of the management team know and hopefully a solution can be found between both parties.
